You should take Silicolgel one hour before meals for maximum benefit

The reason for the one hour gap is to avoid any chance of the Silicolgel particles interfering with the adsorption of any nutrients from food. So, there would be no risk to the effectiveness of Silicolgel, however a very slight risk that some nutrients from your meal may be bound, rather than absorbed into the body. So the longer the gap, the lesser the risk.

The Silicolgel particles remain in the gut for up to an hour. Please be assured that drinking will not wash away the particles. It is absolutely fine to leave eating longer than an hour, the one hour guidance is to avoid the very slight chance that the particles may interpret some of the food nutrients as toxins.
